Kartavya Path

"This project for the Central Public Works Department comprised the redevelopment and upgradation of Central Vista Avenue and its associated facilities at New Delhi, India. The revamped Rajpath, now renamed Kartavya Path, involved the construction of chambers and manholes to access underground trenches, electrical cabling, stormwater piping, light poles, refurbishing to include a Public Address system, etc. The revamp also involved the relaying of green lawns with an irrigation system containing existing trees and designated walkways.

The canals on both sides of the Rajpath have been refurbished with kotah stone lining and permanent bridges have been built. The stretch has stone benches, other street furniture and also public conveniences. The other facilities built include four pedestrian underpasses, eight amenity blocks, the India Gate plaza and parking areas for cars and buses."
