This factory was designed and constructed for GE Diesel Locomotive Pvt. Ltd. with associated utilities, ancillary buildings, staff township, amenities, etc. The factory building comprised of a machine shop, fabrication shop, bogie and wheel assembly shop, metallurgical/chemical laboratory, calibration laboratory, assembly shop, and a paint shop along with warehousing facilities, administrative office, canteen, restrooms, and staff facilities.
